Spring CPD Day – Saturday 21st March
Our next day of CPD is scheduled for Saturday 21st March, when we’re pleased to announce an impressive line up of speakers, discussing sports osteopathy, and functional rehabilitation.
The order of the day is as follows:
9:00am Registration and coffee
9:30 Tim Walker – CEO of GOsC on the new CPD scheme and the role of regional groups
10:15 Jon McSwiney – Osteopath at the Olympic games! – Jon is going to give a one hour talk on “Memories of an osteopath at London 2012, and our approach to sports injuries” Jon is also a local osteopath working from Castle Osteopathic Clinic in Wallingford
12:30 Lunch – (provided)
1:30 – 5pm Practical: The Training Pod – “Functional Rehabilitation of the Lower Extremity” This practical session promises to be brilliant as 2 dynamic osteopaths (Troy Bradley, and Chris Bull) who have traveled to America to be taught by Gary Gray, and Dr Dave Tiberio of the Gray institute and become Fellows of Applied Functional Science. They now work from a purpose built gym in Brighton and are going to show us how they assess the lower limb.
During this practical session they plan to show us how they assess the lower extremity, including practical points and how they build a progressive functional treatment plan.
5pm finish and go to the pub!
